Our story

Originally from Germany, Caterina has always had an interest in skin care. Experimenting with many of the well known German natural skincare products at an early age, Caterina managed to clear her acne and has always liked her skin to look good and smell good.

After using a wide range of cosmetics, Caterina began to realise the ingredients in these products were entering her bloodstream and she started looking into them: parabens, sodium laurel sulphate, plastic beads ….. the list goes on!

Cat started making body butters with purely natural ingredients for herself and then for her friends, who loved them and encouraged her to make more products. She went on to study herbalism, graduating with a ‘Materia Medica Diploma of Herbal Studies’ and began creating her signature products. Continually researching herbal properties and their benefits to skincare and health in general, Caterina is passionate about the difference they can make – hence the name Wunderbalm!

Wunder means ‘miracle’ in German and balms are known to be soothing, calming and nourishing – together these sum up the essence of Wunderbalm products. Cat believes we are surrounded by these powerful herbs and by learning how to identify them and delicately blend them together, we can treat ourselves to their wonderful properties.
